Description We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team in Denver, Colorado. In this long-term contract role, you will play a crucial part in managing and optimizing collection processes for both commercial and consumer accounts. Responsibilities: • Manage the collection of outstanding payments from commercial and consumer accounts in a timely and detail-oriented manner. • Analyze account histories to identify overdue balances and proactively reach out to clients to resolve payment issues. • Implement effective credit and collection strategies to minimize delinquency rates. • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate billing and account reconciliation. • Maintain detailed and organized records of collection activities and account statuses. • Address customer inquiries regarding billing and payment discrepancies with excellent communication skills. • Monitor and report on key metrics related to collections performance and account aging. • Recommend improvements to collection processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards during all collection activities. Requirements • Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections or a related field. • Strong knowledge of credit and collection practices, including billing and payment processes. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to resolve payment issues effectively. • Ability to analyze account data and prioritize tasks based on urgency. • Proficiency in using collection software and other financial tools. • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills. • Familiarity with compliance regulations related to collections. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
