Collections Specialist
Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will focus on managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position requires a strong attention to detail and proficiency in financial systems to support the company’s service operations. Responsibilities: • Monitor and manage accounts receivable balances to ensure timely payment collection. • Conduct follow-ups on overdue accounts through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels. • Utilize accounting software systems and CRM tools to track payment statuses and update records. • Assist with claim administration, including resolving billing discrepancies and processing claims. • Respond to inbound calls from clients to address payment-related inquiries and provide solutions. • Prepare and send invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. • Collaborate with other departments to address issues impacting collections and billing. • Maintain accurate documentation of collection efforts and payment agreements. • Analyze accounts to identify trends and recommend strategies to improve collection processes. • Provide regular reports on accounts receivable performance and status to management. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems, such as Epic Software or Accurint. • Experience with CRM platforms and financial tools, including ADP - Financial Services. • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and collection processes. • Ability to handle billing functions and claim administration efficiently. • Exceptional communication skills for answering inbound calls and resolving inquiries. • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage documentation and payment tracking effectively. • Previous experience in a similar collections role is highly preferred. • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and recommend collection strategies.
