Collections Specialist
Seeking a Collections Specialist for an HVAC Company in Lenexa!!

Job Description

The Collections Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate payments from an assigned customer base. This position requires adherence to collection policies to optimize efforts and maintain a high standard of payment accuracy.

ResponsibilitiesGenerate a high volume of outbound collection outreaches daily via email and voice calls.Engage and promptly notify management of any customer's unwillingness to pay according to their payment terms.Maintain over 90% of accounts receivable at 3%.Pull a daily aging report for the assigned customer base and contact customers with past due balances greater than 30 days.Document collection efforts, payment status, billing issues, and resolution status.Communicate with customers in a courteous and professional manner.Document collection efforts in the company ERP system.Provide additional support to other departments when necessary to resolve customer issues.Respond to credit hold queues in a timely manner to avoid customer delays at the counter or delivery of the order.Monitor assigned shared accounts receivable credit department email inbox.Essential SkillsExperience in collection and accounts receivable management.Proficiency in handling collection calls.3-5 years of B2B collections experience.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Work Environment

The position follows a hybrid work model, with in-office work required from Tuesday to Thursday once training is complete. Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
