Job Title: Collections Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to generate, review, and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner. The role involves ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements, as well as reconciling billing discrepancies and resolving customer billing issues. You will maintain and update customer billing accounts and records, prepare and distribute billing drafts for management review, and collaborate with internal departments such as Operations, Collections, Contracting/Budgeting, and Customer Service to resolve billing concerns.

ResponsibilitiesGenerate, review, and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements.Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve customer billing issues.Maintain and update customer billing accounts and records.Prepare and distribute billing drafts for management review.Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing concerns.Essential Skillsa Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field OR 2-3+ years of experience in Collections, Accounts Receivable, or Billing.Strong communication skills, both written and oral.Attention to detail and goal-oriented mindset.Tech savvy with experience in HighRadius.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.Typing speed of 40 words per minute.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-3 years of Corporate Collections experience with similar customer portfolios preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills.Superior organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of Billing, Collections, and Accounts Receivable is a plus.Commitment to excellent customer service.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Work Environment

This is a full-time position currently in-office, working Monday through Friday. The workday consists of 8 hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Flex hours are available from 7 am to 9 am, as long as a set schedule is maintained daily. The office is designed with pit-style cubicles, requiring comfort with being out in an open space with others. Free parking is available for employees at a garage next to the office, which is conveniently located three blocks from the Bethesda Metro. There are regular office lunches and company events, and many contractors have transitioned to full-time staff.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
