Beacon Hill Financial is working with a growing company in Bethesda, MD to bring an experienced B2B Collections Specialist to their team. This role operates on a hybrid schedule, with a combination of in-office and remote workdays. The Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable portfolio by following up on outstanding invoices, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining positive client relationships to ensure timely collections. Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of business accounts and follow up on outstanding invoices in a professional and systematic manner.

Communicate directly with corporate clients (accounts payable departments, controllers, etc.) to resolve payment delays and discrepancies.

Analyze aging reports and prioritize collection activities to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).

Research and reconcile complex accounts, applying credits and resolving short payments or unapplied cash.

Partner with internal teams (billing, sales, customer success) to clarify contractual terms, invoice issues, or service concerns that impact payment.

Escalate accounts for further action, including credit holds or third-party collections, when necessary.

Document all collection efforts, communications, and resolutions in the system.

Provide regular updates and analysis of high-risk or delinquent accounts to finance leadership.

Assist in developing and improving B2B collection processes and best practices.
