Allied Universal® is hiring a Collections Specialist. This Collections Specialist will manage 35–40 accounts weekly, resolving payment issues through proactive outreach and detailed account reconciliation. The Collections Specialist is skilled in identifying discrepancies, analyzing payment trends, and collaborating cross-functionally to escalate disputes and improve processes. This role will communicate effectively to maintain customer relationships and regularly share insights with leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contact customers via phone and email, to collect outstanding paymentsMonitor aging reports and follow up on delinquent accountsResearch and resolve billing discrepancies or customer disputesMaintain accurate records of all collection activities in the systemCollaborate with internal departments to resolve account issuesIdentify and work with leadership to reduce risk daily by status reporting, escalations and reporting of key word indicatorsPrepare and submit regular reports on collection activity and accounts status as requestedRecommend accounts if necessaryEnsure compliance with federal, state, and company collection policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

Must possess one of the following:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related fieldAssociate’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with four (4) years of commercial collection or accounts receivable experienceHigh School diploma or equivalent with six (6) years of commercial collection or accounts receivable experienceMinimum of two (2) years of commercial collection or accounts receivable experienceExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong oral and written interpersonal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Ability to maintain sensitive financial information with utmost discretionAbility to work independently adapt to change

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Collections experience in a management roleExperience working in a high-volume, complex billing environmentExperience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP By Design)
