Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team in Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky. This is a long-term contract position where you will manage business-to-business collections, oversee credit applications, and maintain customer account inquiries in a high-volume environment. Responsibilities: • Handle all business-to-business collections with a focus on soft collections, ensuring effective communication and resolution. • Process and review credit applications, including running credit checks for new and existing customers. • Manage a shared inbox to address customer inquiries related to invoices and account details. • Oversee a portfolio of more than 300 accounts, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate reconciliations. • Utilize Salesforce, Kinetic, and Epicore systems to track account statuses and manage workflows. • Perform reconciliations for customer accounts as needed to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Collaborate with internal teams to support high-volume activities during peak seasons from June through September. • Maintain organized records of collections activities and account adjustments for reporting purposes. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while handling sensitive financial data. Requirements • Proven experience in commercial collections, preferably in a high-volume setting. • Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and cash applications. • Ability to manage and prioritize a large portfolio of accounts efficiently. • Strong communication skills for addressing customer inquiries and resolving account issues. • Proficiency in Salesforce, Kinetic, and Epicore systems is highly desirable. • Basic Excel skills for account reconciliations are helpful but not mandatory. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records. • Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
