Description We are looking for a skilled Collections Representative to join our team near Minnetonka, Minnesota. This is a long-term contract position that requires individuals who can effectively manage collections processes and portfolios, ensuring delinquency levels are minimized. The role offers flexibility, with the option to work remotely or on-site up to three days per week, but candidates must be local and available to come on-site when needed. Responsibilities: • Monitor and manage assigned portfolios to maintain acceptable delinquency levels using proactive outbound calls, letters, and collaboration with third-party providers. • Analyze and resolve complex collections issues, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Handle a high volume of accounts, typically 250 or more, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution. • Utilize credit information from multiple sources to assess account status and make informed decisions. • Collaborate on problem accounts, including repossessions, modifications, or transfers to late-stage collections or financial recovery. • Perform skip tracing to locate debtors and ensure recovery efforts are effective. • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and documentation as needed. • Work with collection processes, including commercial collections and recovery efforts. • Operate within Oracle and Microsoft Excel systems efficiently, applying newly learned knowledge to daily tasks. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent. • At least one year of experience in consumer or commercial collections. • Proven ability to manage delinquency levels within assigned portfolios using various strategies. • Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex collections scenarios. • Experience handling high volumes of accounts, typically 250 or more, on a monthly basis. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting purposes. • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and tools. • Familiarity with credit analysis and accessing credit reports from multiple sources.
