About the Role:
Amazon Finance Operations seeks an experienced Accounts Receivables Manager to spearhead collections efforts across key European marketplaces - France, Italy, and Spain.
We're looking for a dynamic leader who thrives on process innovation and consistently exceeds expectations in our fast-paced environment. The role focuses primarily on driving innovation that benefits both customers and suppliers, with a key emphasis on managing vendor funding receivables and returns from Amazon suppliers through various collection methods including cash, credit notes, and deductions.
The successful candidate will lead an operations team serving FR, IT, ES, and BE markets, reporting to the local Senior AR Manager while collaborating with a global management team. As team leader for our collection analysts, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our financial operations. We're committed to your professional growth through exposure to cross-functional initiatives and process improvement projects.
Base pay for this position starts from EUR 3200 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.
Key job responsibilities
- Deliver on key team goals such as 31+, 91+, unapplied credits reduction, EDI rejections reduction.
- Conduct root cause analysis and senior leadership reporting, with emphasis on meeting collection targets
- Collaborate with global teams to standardize processes, supporting our significant growth trajectory
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within current collection processes
- Partner with Accounting team on booking entries for vendor funding receivables and returns, including bad debt calculations
- Ensure team compliance with global/local policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Contribute to SOP development and design.
- Partner with Amazon vendors to enhance processes and resolve escalations
- Drive continuous improvement in customer experience
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure efficient collections
- Build trust with external and internal customers/vendors to strengthen Amazon's customer-centric approach
- Serve as key communication liaison between customers, non-retail finance, Sales department, and accounts receivables
- Lead a team of 10+ analysts, conduct regular ledges reviews, individual performance evaluations.
- Conduct annual talent reviews
