Job Description
The primary focus of this position is to supervise the branch/commercial collectors and assist in daily quality assurance tasks. Reporting to the Credit Manager, this role requires multitasking and efficiency in handling a variety of duties that change daily.
ResponsibilitiesTake over challenging customer calls and help resolve issues.Train staff and assign workloads effectively.Review team progress and ensure follow-up on accounts.Approve or deny repossession and bad debt requests.Monitor and reduce delinquency rates through coaching.Assist with hiring, training, and conducting team performance reviews.Generate performance and activity reports.Support call overflow and special customer cases.Guide staff on proper collection actions.Communicate with customers via phone, handling tricky accounts and reconciling balances.Complete other tasks as needed; regular attendance is essential.Essential SkillsKPI managementCollections Operating System knowledgeB2B experienceAccounts receivable expertiseCollection and reconciliation skillsFinance knowledgeCash application skills4 years of commercial collection experience2 years of supervisory experience in collectionsKnowledge of payrollPrior collection and/or credit experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociates degree and 4+ years of supervisory experience OR GED and 8 years of supervisory experienceExperience in severely aged accounts receivableExperience in the Construction IndustryExperience with Liens and related LawsExperience with Contractors, Subcontractors, and SuppliersWork Environment
This position is fully onsite, with working hours from Monday to Friday, either from 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $39.00/hr.
