Job Description

As a Collection and Delivery Driver for DPD, you'll be the face of our company and play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:

Serving as the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service when collecting or delivering parcelsStarting your shift at the depot, where you'll be responsible for efficiently loading parcels onto your 3.5 tonne vanFollowing a daily delivery schedule and managing your route effectively to ensure timely collections and deliveriesSafely operating and maintaining the 3.5 tonne van, adhering to all traffic laws and company policiesAccurately scanning and recording parcel information using handheld devicesCollecting signatures and other necessary proof of delivery from customersPromptly reporting any delivery issues, vehicle problems, or customer concerns to your supervisorMaintaining a clean and organised van, conducting daily vehicle checks, and reporting any maintenance needsAdapting to changing weather conditions and adjusting your delivery approach accordinglyCollaborating with depot staff and other drivers to ensure smooth operations and efficient parcel sortingWearing the provided uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on dutyDemonstrating the core DPD DNA Values of: Honesty, Respect, Passion, Flexibility, Caring and Accountability

This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Your dedication to timely and accurate deliveries will be crucial in maintaining DPD's reputation for excellence in the logistics industry.

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

To be considered for the role you must have:

Held a full UK driving licence and had regular driving experience for 12 months or more
