Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a COI - Certified Operator Inspector.
The hours for this role are 7:00am-3:30pm
The hourly rate for this position is $28.32 per hour.

What you’ll do:Summary:
In-Cell COIs are responsible for performing non-mechanical inspections of work on aerospace assemblies and components. In-Cell COIs are responsible for communicating and coordinating with the Production Supervisor regarding specific production needs (equipment, production status, and schedule updates) to ensure on-time delivery. This position will support the Javelin cell by performing in-cell inspections of soldering, assemblies, and outside processing product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Perform non-mechanical inspections of in-cell and outside processing product following written instructions.
• Thorough Understanding of mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Safe handling of high pressure and explosive devices.
• Ability to work on complex projects and/or products with minimal direction and knowledge to involve required support from Engineering or Supervision.
• Verify calibrated equipment, material with expiration dates, and written instructions are up to date and accurate prior to use in production.
• Properly manage the traceability of numerous components to ensure assembly accuracy.
• Work in partnership with Engineering to identify improvement opportunities, resulting in a decrease of lead time, cost savings, elimination of waste, or safety improvement.
• Assist Production Supervisor in providing feedback on training, developing skillsets, mentoring on products, manufacturing processes, and testing practices.
• Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Inspector status following site guidelines.
• Obtain and maintain certification in J-STD-001.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
• Responsible for ensuring that compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are met.
Required:
• Current Manufacturing Technician role with minimum 1 year of experience at MSOP
• Currently hold a Certified Operator stamp certification
Preferred:
• Electronics assembly and Inspection experience (Certified in J-STD-001 and or IPC-A-610)
• Certified Operator Inspector (COI) certification
• Possessor Letter of Clearance certification
