**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The codes lead will be responsible for coordinating and executing all activities related to industry codes and standards impacting the design, manufacturing, and application of all of the company’s branded products. This role ensures compliance with evolving codes and standards, influences codes development when appropriate, and serves as one of the company’s key liaisons with industry organizations, regulatory agencies, and standards bodies.
**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING**
• Codes & Regulations Management. Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes to building codes and industry standards that affect the company’s products. Ensure all products are compliant with applicable building codes and regulations across relevant jurisdictions. Coordinate product certifications, testing, listings, and approvals.
• Code Development & Advocacy. Represent the company in code development organizations and technical committees. Collaborate with trade associations and coalitions to advocate for codes and standards that align with company objectives. Submit code change proposals and support efforts to influence code language in favor of building envelope innovation and performance when & where appropriate.
• Cross-Functional Coordination. Work closely with R&D, Product Management, Quality, Commercial, and Legal to ensure codes and compliance requirements are integrated into product design and lifecycle. Serve as a subject matter expert for internal teams and customers regarding code compliance and performance criteria.
• Documentation & Communication. Maintain up-to-date documentation related to product compliance, certifications, and testing. Develop and deliver training and guidance materials for internal staff and external stakeholders on relevant code topics. Prepare technical reports, white papers, presentations, and progress reports as needed.
**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
• Demonstrates a general understanding of Amrize Building Envelope business philosophies and strategies.
• Strong Computer skills with Google and Microsoft tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to effectively multitask and drive work to completion.
• Extensive and broad working knowledge of coatings, adhesives & sealants, and spray foam from both an application and code/standards perspective.
• Strong work ethic with high level of trustworthiness and teamwork. Must be able to produce individual and cross-functional group results.
• Occasional travel required (up to 20%) for industry meetings, code hearings, and testing oversight.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Requires B.S. in Chemistry, Engineering, Building Science, or Material/PolymerScience.
