**Coder I – Turn Clinical Notes into Code That Matters**
Are you someone who finds joy in precision, patterns, and purpose? As a **Coder I** , you’ll be a vital part of transforming medical documentation into clean, compliant, and accurate coding — making a real impact behind the scenes of patient care.
In this role, you'll review professional services across **multiple medical specialties** and assign the correct **ICD-10-CM** , **procedure** , and **E/M codes** , all while staying on top of AMA and CMS guidelines. After a short onsite onboarding period, the position shifts to **fully remote** (with the occasional onsite visit for special training or projects).
What You Bring to the Table:
+ Associate’s degree or equivalent education/experience
+ **Active coding certification: CPC-A, COC-A, RHIT, or RHIA**
+ Solid knowledge of reimbursement programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers
+ Familiar with medical billing systems, NCCI edits, LCDs, and correct coding sequences
+ Comfortable with computer systems, EHRs, and billing platforms
+ Clear communicator with a sharp eye for detail

+ Experience in an **academic teaching healthcare setting**
+ Credentials like **CCA, CPC, or CPC-H** (physician-based coding)
