Coating Technician, WEEKEND SHIFT Requisition #:24504 Toronto, Ontario About the Role Operate various thin film coating chambers and measuring equipment. Perform final preparation, loading & inspection of complicated optical elements. TASKS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED + Cleaning / sandblasting of coating system parts and tooling + Maintenance of ancillary equipment – sandblaster, central vacuum system, humidity test chamber + Organization of tooling on shelves and in cabinets + Basic preparation, setup and loading of coating system chambers + Maintain stock of lab supplies in coating room + Clerical duties involved with the movement of product through production REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES + Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision + Ability to manually handle delicate optic parts thus ensuring quality and integrity of product + Mechanical and electrical aptitude + Ability to work and communicate well with others + Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions + Ability to read and interpret drawings + Good verbal and written command of the English language EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS + Post secondary diploma in Photonics or Physical Sciences + Work experience in a lab environment would be a definite asset At L3Harris, we foster an inclusive and equitable workplace.
