CO2 Plant Operator (Full Time) – Ft. Saskatchewan, AB

The function of this job is to operate and troubleshoot the Carbon Dioxide plant in a safe and efficient manner, as described in various procedures, processes and regulatory requirements. Using process knowledge, the Operator works in a team environment where individuals are empowered to prioritize and complete different activities with minimal supervision. Successful candidates must be able to work 12-hour shifts (days) with requirements to remain "on call" to replace an absent colleague and/or respond to plant concerns.

Primary Responsibilities:

Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant and equipmentInteract with various electronic, pneumatic, PLC and HMI control systems during start-up and continuous operation of plant processes and equipmentUse troubleshooting skills to recognize and resolve process discrepancies and issuesPerform certain repairs and provide necessary assistance to maintenance teams during plant shutdowns, equipment upgrades/refurbishments and preventive maintenanceUse process knowledge and skills to improve productivity and reliabilityMaintain professional and timely communication between contractors, visitors, clients, colleagues and managementLoad and offload LCO2 rail carsPerform QA related calibration and testingSafely manage facility contractors (Work Permits, Safety oversight)
