Job Overview:
Weatherford is seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer IV to join our Manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with advanced expertise in CNC programming and machining operations. The CNC Programmer IV will be responsible for producing high-precision parts efficiently and cost-effectively while adhering to the highest safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience, a strong understanding of blueprint interpretation, and proficiency with G-code, Mazatrol, Creo, and MasterCam. This position requires an individual who can work independently, support continuous improvement, and contribute to a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machinery in compliance with productivity, safety, and quality standards. Independently set up 80% of machining jobs, including turret and tooling configurations for ID/OD procedures. Interpret technical blueprints and shop packets to ensure accurate part production. Perform dimensional checks and maintain tolerances of ±0.001 using appropriate measuring instruments. Select and utilize proper tooling, boring bars, soft/hard jaws, and carbide inserts based on job requirements. Ensure machine cleanliness and proper use of all safety and operational procedures. Uphold Weatherford's Quality Management System, participating in audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain effective communication with supervisors, engineers, and team members, sharing progress and addressing challenges proactively. Participate in training, skill development, and knowledge-sharing to support personal and team growth. Promote a safe work environment by adhering to all HSE policies and actively supporting safety initiatives. Ensure tasks are executed within approved time frames and budgets, maintaining financial responsibility over assigned duties. Demonstrate leadership in safety, quality, and operational excellence at all times. Skills: Advanced knowledge of CNC programming using G-code, Mazatrol and Siemens Proficiency in Creo and MasterCam software. Skilled in interpreting blueprints and technical documents. Competence in precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, indicators). Familiarity with carbide inserts, boring tools, and turret setup. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification preferred). 5+ years of CNC programming and machining experience. Knowledge of manual lathe operations and general machining processes. Strong understanding of inspection tools and machining quality standards. Proficient in basic math, including decimals and fractions. Basic English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).#LI-MD1
