Job Description
The CNC Programmer will be responsible for writing machining programs using Esprit and/or Mastercam CAM software. This role involves providing technical expertise and support to the production floor, as well as creating process documentation for the planning department, including set-up sheets, perishable tooling, and in-process inspection requirements. The programmer will also investigate process problems affecting manufacturing and quality assurance and recommend improvements to enhance performance, increase reliability, and reduce costs.
ResponsibilitiesWrite machining programs using Esprit and/or Mastercam CAM software.Provide technical expertise and support to the production floor.Create process documentation for the planning department, including set-up sheets, perishable tooling, and in-process inspection requirements.Investigate process problems affecting manufacturing and quality assurance.Recommend improvements to manufacturing processes to improve performance, increase reliability, and decrease cost.Essential SkillsProficiency in CNC lathe and CNC mill operations.Expertise in Mastercam and Esprit software.Knowledge of GD&T and CNC programming.Minimum of 10 years of experience in programming multi-axis CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.At least 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience machining materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and alloy steels.Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems and documentation.Work Environment
The work environment involves machining high-performance engine components for various industries, including motorsports, aerospace, defense, space, medical, and other high-tech sectors. The team consists of five programmers, each supporting their own machines.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
