Job Title: CNC Programmer
Job Description

The CNC Programmer is responsible for creating computer numerically controlled (CNC) programs to automate machinists’ tools using computer-generated electronic data.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop CNC programs to automate machining processes.Utilize CAD/CAM software, with a preference for NX, to create and optimize tool paths.Analyze blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure precision in machining.Collaborate with the aerospace engineering team to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.Select and design appropriate tooling and determine optimal speeds and feeds based on materials and processes.Manage outsourced manufacturing processes including plating, surface treatments, and heat treatments.Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats to facilitate project completion.Maintain strong attention to detail and manage time effectively to meet multiple deadlines.Provide excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.Essential SkillsProven experience in CNC programming.Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, particularly NX.Analytical skills to gather, process, and interpret data.Advanced knowledge in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry, including standards and specifications.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as a Processing Engineer is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to provide exemplary customer service under pressure.Work Environment

The work environment includes normal production settings with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts, and potential exposure to fumes, dust, and mist. Employees may experience skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid, sharp metal edges, and forklifts. The role may require travel between Southwick and Westfield facilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
