Purpose of the Role
To set, program, and operate CNC Mill-Turn machines to produce precision components to exacting specifications, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC Mill-Turn machines, including loading workpieces, selecting tools, and configuring machine parameters.Interpret and follow detailed engineering drawings and specifications.Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software or manual input as required.Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify part accuracy and quality.Troubleshoot issues during the machining process, proactively identifying and resolving problems.Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company standards and health & safety guidelines.
Skills and Experience RequiredProven experience in CNC programming, setting, and operating.Experience working with Puma SMX2600S and Puma 3100LSY multitask turning centres (Essential).Proficient in using Fanuc 31iB5 Plus CNC control systems.Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.High attention to detail and precision.Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy components.Proactive, self-motivated, and reliable with a positive, can-do attitude.
Working HoursMonday to Friday: 07:00 to 15:3030-minute unpaid lunch break
