CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our team, specifically for the swing shift position. This role involves machining highly complex aero-structures and space components using 5-axis CNC Mills.

ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, and height gages.Apply basic math, geometry, and trigonometry in machining processes.Set up machines by installing pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures.Operate 3, 4, and 5 axis vertical and horizontal CNC Mills.Essential Skills5+ years of experience as a machinist.Proficiency in operating CNC Mills, particularly 5-axis Makino Mag 3 Machines.Experience in aerospace manufacturing.Familiarity with aluminum and defense work.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Makino MAG3 machines.Expertise in complex hard metal and aluminum high-speed machining.Capability in diverse range of 5-axis machining, including large nutating head and gantry style machining.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is an aerospace machine shop, equipped with world-class machining, fabrication, and assembly capabilities. As a supplier of precision machined parts and assemblies for the aerospace and defense industries, our five manufacturing facilities provide the capacity to compete with the best in the industry. Shifts available include day, swing, weekend day, and weekend nights.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
