Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.** **Your main tasks and responsibilities:** + Performs layouts, sets up, and operates conventional machine tools as required + Reads and interprets all drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing + Designs setups and methods where none exist + Instructs other shop personnel in proper machining techniques: set-ups, feeds and speeds for both carbide and high-speed steel cutting tools, methods and standard operating procedures + Operate manual and automatic feeds to 0.0002” as required for final cuts + Stay attentive while the CNC is running + Load proper material / parts + Be able to quickly shut down or change the program to prevent detrimental damage to the machine or personnel safety + Calculate / Anticipate tool offset changes due to wear during the machine process + CNC Maintenance- Maintain Oil Levels as required and clean area. + Q.C. all manufactured parts prior to removing from machine and informing the Department + Improves methods for higher quality and improved costs **To succeed in this role, you will need:** + High School diploma or equivalent + Completion of a CNC Machinist apprentice program or equivalent training + Must have experience Programming and Operating CNC Lathes and Milling Centers + Ability to hold close tolerances and conduct component inspections + Demonstrated ability to effectively set up all, or at least most, of the following machines: I.D./O.D.
