Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. **The Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC) in McKinney, TX, is seeking a dedicated and experienced high-precision CNC Machinist to join our 1st shift team.** The CNC Machinist will set-up and operate CNC axis machines and jig bore machines meeting precision specifications outlined in the work instructions, ensuring operations are efficient, safe and quality requirements are achieved. Relocation not offered. **What You Will Do:** + Castings + Create fixtures and tooling + Set up 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machines + Methodize and program CNC machines + Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) + Job requires standing 80-90% and walking short distances 10-20%, bending at the waist 20%, lifting and/or carrying < 28lbs. + Schedule: 9/80 (every other Friday off) + Job opening is for 1st shift, but must be flexible to work 2nd or 3rd shift if business demands require. **Qualifications You Must Have:** + Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. + Relevant experience is as follows: + Methodize, program, setup and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines. + Work with jig bore machines holding high-precision tolerances. + Work history of using basic hand tools. + U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. **Qualifications We Prefer:** + Past use of PPE + Experience with surface quality standards, and inspection methods. + Basic knowledge of cutting tools as well as speeds and feeds are preferred. + Ability to follow directions and attention to detail. + Strong multi-tasking skills; must be able to run multiple machines in a cell environment. + Dexterity to handle components with care. + Strong basic mathematical skills **What We Offer:** Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
