Dixon Fire is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) lathes. The ideal candidate will produce precision metal components and inspect products to drawing specifications. This role requires the ability to recognize machining issues and make necessary adjustments. The CNC Machinist may also be assigned additional duties, such as operating a laser marker or light assembly, to meet customer order demands.
Responsibilities:
Set up and run CNC machines (Fanuc and Mazak experience is a plus)
Troubleshoot program issues
Work safely around equipment and co-workers
Perform daily maintenance activities
Be flexible with rotating assignments
Work as part of a team and participate in training
Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent required 5+ years experience as a CNC operatorFamiliarity with G-code programming
Experience with Mazak and Fanuc is preferred
Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
Good reading and math skills
Good data entry skills
Computer experience is a plus
Attention to detail required
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
