Job Description Insight Global is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a global leader of dredging solutions in Baltimore, MD. A dredge is a massive, industrial machine that removes sediment from underwater and transports it elsewhere, so this CNC will work with cutting-edge industrial maritime components and machines. This is a full-time, permanent role with competitive compensation and excellent benefits package. In this role, the CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating tools and machines to manufacture parts to technical drawing specifications. These parts will be industrial steel components with machines programmed in Mastercam. While not required for this role, it is a plus to have experience in conversational programming or programming in Mastercam. Day-to-day responsibilities: - Maintains cleanliness and safety in work area in compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations - Sets up and runs various manual and CNC Mills and Lathes - Operates simple machine tools such as presses, saws, and shears - Operates machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes - Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimension and specifications for parts - Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and material to be used on machines - Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects using basic inspection techniques such as calipers, micrometers, indicators etc. - Ensures units conform with predetermined specification and adjust machine controls to resolve production errors - Inspects machinery for any needed repairs and performs minor repairs within expertise We are a company committed to creating inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
