CNC Machinist- 3rd Shift
Summary 
Independently performs expert level of functionality in lathe or mill-turn machining environment.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Expert level of functionality in lathe or mill-turn machining environment. Embody and foster teamwork. Demonstrate clear and concise communication skills. Produce and ensure a high degree of quality, job knowledge, technical proficiency, productivity and safety awareness. Have the ability and willingness to learn new and challenging tasks. Be responsible, at the cell level, for maintaining production schedule adherence, improving production flow, quality, decreased unit time and the general efficiency of the cell as defined by established measures. Work effectively with all employees throughout the organization in a courteous and professional manner. Possess to a high degree, personal time management, cell and task organization with a disciplined adherence to production schedules. Full understanding of GD&T principles. Experience with CMM Operations. Using a variety of machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments that monitor and verify drawing/work order requirements are being met. Making advanced shop computations relating to dimensions of work and tooling. Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with manufacturing planning, quality plans, and engineering drawings  Ensuring part quality by adjusting machine controls as necessary Meeting production deadlines by following manufacturing schedule and procedures Working with support resources and cell leaders to resolve production problems when they arise. Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies, contributing to risk mitigation management teams, and keeping all work areas clean. Contributing to team effort by maintaining a positive attitude. Observing and listening to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as worn or damaged cutting tools, following best machining practices. Cleaning machine, tooling, parts and performing machine TPM requirements. Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirement
•    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required.
  10 years experience running and setting up CNC and manually controlled machines. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of and experience with: Precision measuring tools, gauges, and other inspection devices Part drawings/blueprints, dimensioning, and tolerancing Including GD&T Shop math CNC Machine tool controls and G-code DNC Control systems Basic understanding of an AS9100 Manufacturing environment. Machine preventative and corrective maintenance Including machine troubleshooting
