Dixon is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our 2nd shift manufacturing team at our Houston, TX facility. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC lathes to produce high-precision metal components and inspect parts to ensure they meet engineering specifications. Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC lathes
Troubleshoot and resolve machining or programming issues
Perform daily machine maintenance
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Collaborate with team members and rotate between assignments as needed
Participate in ongoing training and development
QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience operating CNC lathes
Familiar with G & M code; Mazatrol experience is a plus
Proficient in blueprint reading and use of precision measuring instruments
Strong math, reading, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during shift
Capable of standing for the duration of the shift
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
