We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards. This position requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **CNC Machine Operation** : Operate CNC milling machines, lathes, or other CNC equipment to produce precision parts and components.
+ **Machine Setup** : Set up CNC machines by loading program codes, tooling, and fixtures, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.
+ **Blueprint Interpretation** : Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the proper setup, tooling, and machining operations required.
+ **Quality Control** : Inspect finished parts using various measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to ensure compliance with specifications. Make adjustments to programs as necessary.
+ **Maintenance and Troubleshooting** : Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn tools. Troubleshoot minor machine issues to ensure continuous operation.
+ **Safety Compliance** : Adhere to all safety procedures, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe work environment.
+ **Documentation** : Maintain accurate records of machine setups, production runs, maintenance activities, and any issues or deviations from standard procedures.
+ **Team Collaboration** : Work closely with other operators, engineers, and supervisors to ensure production goals are met efficiently and with high quality.
+ **Continuous Improvement** : Contribute to the improvement of processes, machine setups, and efficiency to help reduce waste and increase productivity.
**Skills & Qualifications:**
+ **Education** : High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in CNC operations is a plus.
+ **Experience** : Minimum of [X] years of experience operating CNC machines. Experience with [specific CNC machinery or software] is preferred.
+ **Technical Skills** : Strong understanding of CNC machine operation, G-code programming, and machine tooling.
+ **Problem-Solving Skills** : Ability to identify and resolve machine issues or programming errors quickly.
+ **Attention to Detail** : High degree of precision and accuracy in completing tasks.
+ **Physical Requirements** : Ability to lift and carry materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.
+ **Safety Awareness** : Familiarity with manufacturing safety protocols and ability to work in a safe and organized manner.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with specific CNC software such as [e.g., Haas, Fanuc, Siemens].
+ Ability to work with multi-axis CNC machines.
+ Knowledge of machining materials, including metals and plastics.
**Working Conditions:**
+ Full-time position, with overtime as needed.
+ Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
+ Potential for standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
