DuPont, a global leader in advanced materials, is looking for an experienced and driven Application Engineer with a strong background in Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP). This is your opportunity to be part of a high-impact team supporting next-generation semiconductor technologies with top-tier customers in Korea.
Application Engineer – CMP Process Expert
Location: Dongtan, Hwaseong, Korea
Responsibilities:
• Support new CMP product development and introduction to market
• Collaborate closely with R&D scientists to plan and conduct experiments; present results and insights to customers
• Provide application and technical support for existing products, including troubleshooting at customer fabs
• Take a proactive role in identifying and driving new business and technology opportunities in CMP
• Network with current and potential customers to gather market intelligence and understand technology trends
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Polymer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage key customers such as Samsung and Hynix
• Fluent in both Korean and English, written and spoken
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Technical knowledge of CMP consumables (e.g., slurry, pad) and integration into fab processes
• Prior experience as a Process Engineer or Technical Support in semiconductor fabs
• Experience participating in CMP technical meetings, customer discussions, or industry conferences
