Job Description
The role involves supporting technical efforts and conducting precise dimensional inspections using Quality Dimensional Tools and Techniques. The individual will develop reports on the status of inspections and materials, as well as develop and optimize programs for use on QC measurement systems. This position requires managing and supporting technical projects and indirectly managing deliverables from others, while ensuring proper documentation according to cGMP’s and current procedures.
Responsibilities
Program CMM in PC-DIMS CAD++ with expertise.Conduct precise dimensional inspections using CMM and other measuring instruments.Develop and optimize programs for QC measurement systems.Ensure proper documentation according to cGMP’s and current procedures.Manage and support technical projects and indirectly manage deliverables from others.Essential Skills
Expert level proficiency in CMM programming, specifically in PC-DIMS CAD++.Extensive knowledge and expertise in GD&T.Proficiency with measuring instruments, including running and operating machines like CMM.Expert ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).Advanced knowledge of the interpretation and application of relevant Domestic and International Regulations and Industry Standards (ISO, QSR, UL, CSA, VDE, etc.).Strong computer skills, including CAD and Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, etc.).Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technical Degree with 10 years or Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of work experience in a technical work setting focused on Quality Dimensional Tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information.Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.Strong interpersonal skills required for interaction with all levels of the organization.Solid analytical approach to decision making and problem solving with consistent decision making.Ability to work with limited supervision and to manage projects and indirectly manage people in a timely fashion.Ability to be a representative in groups of peers from production, engineering, R&D, and quality.Work Environment
The work environment includes both an Engineering Lab and Office setting. The role involves working in a global company, one of the largest medical device companies in Saint Louis, providing opportunities to collaborate with diverse teams.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
