Job Title: CMC Inspection Engineer - Metrology
Working Pattern: Fulltime, Onsite

As the CMC Inspection Engineer – Metrology, you will l lead the development and execution of the measurement strategy for Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) components. This role will also provide technical support to operations and execute Manufacturing Engineering activities to develop, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing inspection processes which are capable of meeting and continuing to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, deliver rate and lead-time (SQCD) as well as lead the definition and execution of inspection processes including but not limited to CMM and GOM programs.

What you will be doing
With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
Responsible for the methods of inspection of multiple Ceramic Matrix Composites components.Work with the component engineering community to establish new component definition methodologies and to optimize measurement methodologies.Create and validate CMM and GOM programs.Capture and analyze data to demonstrate the current and future capability of measurement methods specific to the inspection of CMCsDesign and oversee the procurement of tooling, fixtures and gages required to inspect components.Review customer requirements, drawings and specifications and coordinate manufacturing engineering activities related to the components inspection.Support manufacturing and materials teams to apply suitable problem solving techniques to establish root causes of non-conformance and hence improve quality. Lead these efforts on issues related to measurement methods.Ensure that the inspection processes are capable of achieving and sustaining the design intent, and that processes are followed so that our products and those of our suppliers conform to their specification. Rigorously raise, investigate and resolve safety related issues.Who we’re looking for:

Basic Requirements:
Associate degree in Engineering with 4+ years of engineering experience, ORBachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of engineering experience, ORMaster's degree in Engineering, ORJD/PhD in Science, Technology or Engineering, OR6+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering or CMC Manufacturing experience in lieu of a degreeIn order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be U.S. CitizenPreferred Requirements:
Solid knowledge and practical experience of measurement; particularly an understanding of measurement system validationExperience with design and procurement of tooling, fixtures and gages required for component inspection (preferred)Experience in programming GOM and CMMExperience with composite manufacturing and inspection.Highly driven and self-motivated to drive for results and continuously improve and confident in leading change in cross functional teams.Attention to detail and ability to work in teams.Ability to perform structured problem solving (e.g. 7-Step / 8D Root Cause Analysis).Experience with quality planning tools and processes, lean manufacturing, six Sigma and project management.What we offer
