**Job Description:**
Manages a team of individual contributors and/or Supervisors, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management.
Develops tactical and operational plans to achieve Accounting goals, and communicates plans to managers, supervisors, and individual contributors.
Facilitates operations for general accounting functions, financial statement preparation, and audit activity, while ensuring accuracy and integrity.
Assesses key performance indicators while analyzing opportunities for improvements to processes, formats, and accounting controls.
Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and audit controls in achieving the organization's goals and objectives for the Accounting function.
Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
**Core responsibilities include:**
+ Responsible for coordinating and facilitating pre-close meetings, quarterly balance sheet reviews, and financial statement reviews for Finance Director (FD)
+ Budget vs Actuals creation, alignment and coordination for commentary and approval
+ Responsible for approving the “actuals” submissions
+ Responsible for “actuals” of countries/cluster with higher complexity (business size, P&L materiality)
+ Analyse financial statements to ensure completeness, accuracy, and validity of numbers.
+ Face of GS and Accounting Lead for actuals (US GAAP); be the connection between Business Unit Finance (BUF), Financial Planning and Analysis and GS Account to Report (A2R) Process teams
+ Member of local FD’s leadership team (LT); serve as one of the GS points of connection at BUF LT meetings
+ Champion an environment of collaboration, innovation and sharing ideas
+ Influence and work closely with BUF, FPA and A2R teams on joint goals and objectives Lead/participate in GS process improvement and other global/local projects
+ Provide support to resolve complex or aged A2R issues (US GAAP)
+ For CFM processes, ensure SOX compliance is followed, in order to achieve “adequate” internal and external audit ratings; Identify and quantify financial and operational risks and opportunities

**Qualifications** :
+ Preferred qualified accountant or an international qualified accountant equivalent or/and with a minimum of 5- 10 years post qualified financial experience
**Languages** :
+ Fluent English, confidence in presenting to Senior Management in English
**Experience Required:**
+ 5 – 10 years job experience in different Finance Functions
+ US GAAP reporting experience
+ Prior managerial / supervisory experience is preferred
