Clubhouse Employment Lead

At a Clubhouse, staff and members work side-by-side to coordinate, plan, and complete all the work of the Clubhouse as purposeful work and meaningful relationships are the foundation of recovery. The Clubhouse Employment Lead works in partnership with staff and members in the daily operation of the clubhouse including clerical work, outreach communications, luncheon prep, data entry, event planning and attending regular meetings. Staff also assist members in developing vocational, educational, housing, socialization, and wellness goals. In addition to the generalist functions across the Clubhouse, this position will have a specific focus on employment development activities with clubhouse members who wish to seek employment. Responsibilities + Maintain tracking systems for member employment goals, job leads, and VR package timelines, ensuring timely and compliant documentation of employment services for VR packages (e.g., pre-employment, job search, barrier intervention). + Provide one-on-one and group support for employment readiness (resumes, interviews, applications) to help increase successful job placements among the clubhouse members. + Offer job coaching on-site and in the community to help increase job retention among working clubhouse members. + Collaborate with Clubhouse leadership and the Employment Development Administrator to identify employer partners, develop job leads, and participate in outreach. + Build and maintain relationships with local employers and workforce partners. + Contribute to development of employment workflows and protocols, helping to train and orient new generalists on employment processes, procedures and expectations. + Ensures member engagement with all Clubhouse opportunities, including planning, coordinating, and executing daily work alongside Clubhouse members. + Ensures that member goals, activities and attendance are documented appropriately for accurate funder billing and reporting. + Utilize a strength-based approach to help members set and achieve personal, career and wellness goals. + Assist members in accessing needed community services and support while promoting member’s self-sufficiency. + Foster a recovery environment in which members feel wanted, needed, and expected. + ·Staff clubhouse social and recreational programs. Flexibility to staff rotation of holiday hours is required. + Assist with developing and maintaining essential community partnerships that benefit the Clubhouse community. + Provide leadership with members in relationship to Clubhouse mission, goals and philosophy. This position is 40 hours per week. Compensation $20-$22/hour Qualifications Education High School diploma or equivalent. AS, BA or equivalent preferred: social work, psychology, education, occupational therapy, human services, behavioral health, or related field. Job Experience At least one year of experience or personal knowledge of mental illness and/or other neurological conditions, and a demonstrated passion to support individuals to reach their potential and have the highest quality of life possible. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledgeable with MS office software applications, google drive applications, social media platforms, and electronic medical records. Physical Demands As an active day program setting, the position involves frequent standing, sitting, and moving around the space; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.; and some work in a kitchen environment. Training 2-Week Clubhouse Comprehensive training will be made available. Travel Demands Clubhouse Comprehensive training is 2-week immersion out of state, and there are occasional conferences and other trainings outside the local area.
