Cloud Vulnerability Engineer - Ashley Furniture

Position Overview

Ashley Furniture is seeking a skilled Cloud Vulnerability Engineer to join our Information Security team. This role will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing security vulnerabilities across our cloud infrastructure while ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Develop and implement automated security scanning tools and processes for continuous vulnerability detection
• Analyze security findings and provide detailed remediation recommendations
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents in cloud environments
• Perform security architecture reviews and risk assessments of cloud-based solutions
• Create and maintain documentation for security processes and findings
• Develop metrics and reports to track vulnerability management program effectiveness
• Partner with development teams to implement security controls and fix vulnerabilities
• Stay current with emerging cloud security threats and countermeasures
• Conduct security training and awareness sessions for technical teams

Technical Requirements

Strong understanding of cloud security architecture and services (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Nessus, OpenVAS)
• Experience with container security and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST)
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Understanding of network security protocols and concepts
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with API security testing tools

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
5+ years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security
• Relevant security certifications preferred (CISSP, CEH, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer)
• Demonstrated experience in vulnerability management and remediation
• Strong background in cloud infrastructure security and compliance
