The Opportunity:
Join our dynamic team as a Cloud Systems Administrator dedicated to supporting our National Security Mission. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing and providing expert system administration, integration, maintenance, and customer support for our Enterprise Development, Test, and Production systems. With a strong emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS), OpenText, PeopleSoft, and Corporate Business systems, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our systems operate at peak performance and security.
Responsibilities:
Build, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud-based applications on Windows and Linux, utilizing services like EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, and RDS.
Provision and manage stable AMIs, perform software installations, and conduct troubleshooting and maintenance.
Administer the OpenText suite, performing upgrades and optimizing configurations for efficiency.
Oversee day-to-day operations including pay, benefits, time and labor, and job announcement file transfers.
Resolve complex system failures across applications, PKI, security, and PeopleSoft batch processes, adhering to established procedures and Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs).
Automate critical production processes using cloud services, applications, operating systems, and scripting.
Ensure optimum system performance, availability, and security through innovative technical solutions and cost-optimized strategies.
Execute cloud infrastructure modifications with zero downtime and minimal customer impact.
Coordinate systems maintenance with customer and program offices to balance operational needs with critical modifications.
Monitor and review systems, security, and application logs to mitigate risks and maintain compliance with NIST and IC directives.
Collaborate with technical leads to adopt industry best practices and standards.
Perform backups and restores of operating, file, and database systems, and manage user accounts and file systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
TS/SCI clearance and the ability to successfully complete a polygraph.
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, with three years of experience.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Strong technical background with in-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, IT security principles, and compute, storage, and transport.
Expertise in Windows and Linux server operating systems.
Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving, organizational, customer-oriented, and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-functioning team, under the guidance of a technical subject matter expert.
Availability for after-hours and on-call support.
Visual acuity to work on a computer for extended periods, ability to move between workstations, and effective communication with colleagues and customers.
Desired:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional
Experience with the customer’s programs and facilities.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
