Those in cloud operations at PwC will focus on managing and optimising cloud infrastructure and services to enable seamless operations and high availability for clients. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing industry leading practices for cloud-based systems.

Job description & summary

This position combines the design, management, and operational oversight of cloud and data center solutions across a global enterprise environment. The role is responsible for architecting robust cloud infrastructure, leading the operational management of cloud services, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all hosting platforms.

As a subject matter expert in cloud systems, the individual will oversee strategic initiatives, drive technological innovation, and lead a team dedicated to delivering scalable and integrated cloud-hosting services. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to align cloud strategies with business objectives, manage enterprise cloud operations, and implement best practices and continuous improvements in a dynamic IT landscape. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the GHS operations & platform are performing in line with published SLA.

Requirements of the role

5 years of experience in an enterprise hosting environment. Significant hands-on experience in both MS Azure and AWS cloud environments. Knowledge in server OS and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)

Experience with operating system hardening and understanding of global security requirements. Familiarity with industry standards and compliance frameworks such as ISO27001 and SOC-2.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with different departments and leadership levels.

Knowledge of Disaster Recovery process

ITIL certification is a plus

Experience in delivering cross-border global services and working in virtual teams is a plus
