Job Description
A client of Insight Global's is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to join their team and sit locally to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
The customer is a government office focused on data and AI. This office serves as a catalyst for a data and AI-driven culture. Established in 2017, its mission is to empower and posture the department with the ability to harness the power of data for mission success and competitive advantage. The office aims to fuel data innovation within the department while increasing the efficiency, effectiveness of decisions, readiness, mission operations, and cybersecurity.
The project is the VAULT Platform, one of six enterprise-level data platforms chosen by the department. Our company has played a central role in this project from Day 1. The Visible, Accessible, Understandable, Linked, and Trusted (VAULT) Data Platform is designed to provide personnel with cyber-secure, cloud-based tools to connect, find, share, and learn from data to improve readiness and mission success, leveraging a set of tools to support a full lifecycle of data exploitation activies.

Skills and Requirements
Active DoD Secret (minimum) or Top
Secret (preferred)
3+ years' experience support enterprise AWS cloud-based operations
Security+ Certification (best if current, else must test and pass)
Experience with AWS GovCloud
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with Python
Experience managing EC2 instances, Redshift, and RDS
Working knowledge of ServiceNow, particularly in developing and configuring workflows
Experience with Linux system administration
Experience practicing agile philosophies
Experience using Jira/Confluence
Experience with source version control such as Gitlab, build/release tools and
methodologies, CI/CD pipelines and the Software Build process.
Experience using Ansible, Terraform Experience working in SIPRnet and/or NIPRnet environments
Experience with Platform One Big Bang null
