Who we are
By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.
This purposeful project will not only give you the opportunity to have an impact on one of the key topics within the European Union, it will also offer you various professional opportunities, let you experience a collaborative environment, using cutting-edge technologies and experiencing diversity in your everyday professional life.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of the cloud infrastructureEnsuring that the cloud-based systems are stable, secure, and operating efficientlyLeading a team of IT professionals, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.Overseeing the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and securityManaging and mentoring a team of cloud engineers and IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environmentImplementing and enforcing security policies and procedures to protect cloud infrastructure and data, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standardsMonitoring cloud infrastructure performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing solutions to optimize performance and reliabilityManaging relationships with cloud service providers and vendors, ensuring services are delivered according to contractual agreementsDeveloping and maintaining disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or data lossCreating and managing budgets for cloud infrastructure projects, recommending cost-saving measures where appropriateStaying up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance infrastructure and security
What you'll bring along
