POSITION SUMMARY: The Information Security Engineer – Cloud Security is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and operational security support of the AHS Cloud environment. This position is responsible and accountable for the technical aspects of the enterprise cloud architecture, it’s security, stability, and resiliency to withstand known/unknown advanced attacks and persistent threats. This role will also assist other members of the Ardent Information Security Operations team and key corporate/partner/business units in support of the AHS Company Mission and strategic business initiatives. Responsibilities Designs, builds and delivers cloud threat analytics by leveraging cloud log correlation, AI & machine learning engines Competent designer of mixed-technology solutions Serving as technical advisor and assessing security systems for Azure and M365 environments. Design and build the compliance and security requirements within Microsoft’s cloud environment includes Identity protection, Data security (classification and DLP, and CoPilot to name a few). Works with other business units, partners and customers to maintain secure methods of data management Deliver security compliance in our growing cloud footprint in Microsoft Azure. Engage and collaborate with other Engineering teams to advocate and advance our security posture. Research and recommend solutions that meet security standards while ensuring functionality for business continuity. Monitoring Azure and M365 environments for unusual activity, reviewing for system intrusions and taking action when required. Routinely and proactively test information systems to perform risk or threat assessment and analysis. Qualifications Education & Experience: BS/BA degree and specialized information security technical training. A reputable security certification (Microsoft AZ-500, AWS, CISSP, CCSP, CEH, HCISPP, GIAC, CISA) 5 years hands-on experience designing and implementing security processes and procedures in an enterprise network environment. 3 years of cloud security and IT experience (Azure preferred) Cloud systems engineering and operational experience in Information Technology Broad-based working knowledge of cloud platforms, identity federation, networking, application, database, infrastructure and/or server administration Experience designing, configuring, implementing and managing cloud services models such as SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS for system security. Experience in evaluating, architecting, implementing, assessing and/or administering security platforms. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Cloud security related strategies, policies and standards Data Loss Prevention design, implementation and support. Superior analytical skills to identify high risk security breach opportunities with the ability to develop solutions to prevent, correct, detect, or mitigate security risks via people, processes and technology Ability to relate business requirements and risks to technology implementation for security-related activities Ability to collaborate with IT&S and business area professionals to identify/recommend applicable security practices/controls rather than dictating security methods Ability to balance the seriousness of protecting electronic information assets with the need to enable users to effectively and efficiently use systems to perform job responsibilities, while continuing to emphasize quality patient care Strong customer service focus and ability to manage client (e.g., facility) expectations; Solid project management and collaboration skills, especially in a cross-functional dynamic team environment Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present and discuss technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and allows the individual to increase understanding of subject matter.
