Job descriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Financial Analyst intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our FinOps team in providing cloud cost insights to stakeholders and assisting with various FinOps operational activities. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a foundational understanding of cloud financial management. The ideal candidate should have a background in either IT with finance knowledge or Finance/Accounting with IT knowledge, or a strong interest in learning about IT.Provide stakeholders with detailed insights to help them understand and manage cloud spend.
Perform cloud cost reporting and reconciliation for accurate cost allocation and expense tracking.
Create and maintain PowerBI dashboard to present cloud cost data clearly.
Assist in the launch and adoption of FinOps product/features, ensuring that users are well-informed and able to utilise new functionalities effectively.
Provide consultation to users on strategies to optimize cloud costs and identify savings opportunities.
Assist users in retrieving and using insights from cloud financial tools effectively.
Support FinOps operational activities, including access provisioning and control, to ensure efficient cloud operations.
RequirementsCurrently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Skilled in using data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Spotfire.
Interested in cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure.
Experienced with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Power Automate
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrates a continuous learning attitude and thrives in an agile work environment.
Fast and independent learner.
Able to commit to at least 6 months for this internship.
Learning outcomes for the internGain exposure and hands-on experience in the cloud computing and FinOps (cloud cost management) domains.
Experience working in an agile environment and a global setup, enhancing your adaptability and collaboration skills.
Develop data analysis skills to interpret and leverage cloud cost data effectively.
