We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cloud ETL Tester with expertise in the Azure ecosystem to join our dynamic data engineering team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of cloud-based data pipelines and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, SQL, Databricks, and test automation, with a keen eye for data integrity and analytical problem-solving.
Your future duties and responsibilities:Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for cloud-based ETL pipelines.
• Validate data transformations, data quality, and data integrity across various stages of the ETL process.
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts to understand data requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Utilize Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and SQL to perform data validation and testing.
• Develop and maintain Python-based test automation frameworks.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot data issues in large datasets.
• Document test plans, test cases, and test results in a clear and concise manner.
Future-Focused Responsibilities:
• Lead the implementation of AI-driven test automation and self-healing test frameworks for cloud data pipelines.
• Contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines for automated data testing in Azure DevOps.
• Integrate data observability and monitoring tools to proactively detect data anomalies and pipeline failures.
• Mentor junior testers and contribute to the evolution of testing best practices in cloud-native environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data governance, compliance, and security testing initiatives.
• Stay updated with emerging trends in cloud data engineering, data mesh, and data quality engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL for complex data validation.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure Data Services.
• Proven experience in Cloud ETL testing and test automation.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills for data issue resolution.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Power BI, or data cataloging tools.
