We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer (Staff Cyber Systems Engineer) to join our dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems support team in San Antonio, TX.
This position is contingent upon contract award, obtaining customer funding, and holding final clearances prior to start date.
What you'll get to do:
Working as part of a team to design, build and maintain a hybrid-cloud systems
Administering systems based on Linux and Windows operating systems
Maintaining and troubleshooting IP networking systems for hybrid-cloud systems
Automating system deployment, operation and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling
Basic Qualifications for Staff Cyber Systems Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM field with 12 years of experience, Master’s degree in a relevant STEM field with 10 years of experience; PhD in a relevant STEM field with 8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience with designing, deploying and administering cloud-based solutions
Understanding of the architecture, maintenance, and administration of Linux servers
Experience with automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet or Python
Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and microservices
Knowledge of cybersecurity in the context of the cloud
U.S. Citizenship required.
A current/active DoD Top Secret w/ SCI security clearance that was active in the last 24 months is required.
IAT Level 3 Certification per 8570 (CISSP, etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience working within IT Systems Design, Deployment and Administration,
Cloud service certification (AWS, Azure, Google, or similar)
Experience in automating engineering tasks utilizing scripting and/or orchestration tools, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of version control using code repositories (Bitbucket/Gitlab).
Experience designing, deploying and troubleshooting IPv4 Networking, including Subnetting, OSPF Routing, VLANs and VPNs;
Ability to plan, design, implement, and maintain a physical and virtual network environment. Technical expertise with Cisco and/or VMware devices and technologies.
Experience with security assessments to support ATO compliance
Experience with unusually complex technical problems and can provide solutions that are highly innovative and ingenious
