We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer (Principal Cyber Systems Engineer or Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer) to join our dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems support team in San Antonio, TX.
This position is contingent upon contract award, obtaining customer funding, and holding final clearances prior to start date.
What you'll get to do:
Working as part of a team to design, build and maintain AWS and hybrid-cloud systems
Administering systems based on Linux and Windows operating systems
Maintaining and troubleshooting IP networking systems for AWS and hybrid-cloud systems
Automating system deployment, operation and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling
This requisition may be filled as a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer or Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Cyber Systems Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree in related STEM discipline with 5 years of experience; Master’s degree related in STEM discipline with 3 years of experience; PhD in related STEM discipline with 1 year of experience in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
U.S. Citizenship required
A current/active DoD Top Secret clearance w/ SCI eligibility
Experience with designing, deploying and administering cloud-based solutions
Understanding of the architecture, maintenance, and administration of Linux servers
Experience with automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet or Python
Proven experience working within IT Systems Design, Deployment and Administration
DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent) is required

Bachelor’s degree in related STEM discipline with 8 years of experience; Master’s degree related in STEM discipline with 6 years of experience; PhD in related STEM discipline with 4 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:
Cloud service certification (AWS, Azure, Google, or similar)
Experience with one or more programming languages
Extensive experience of designing, deploying and troubleshooting IPv4 Networking, including Subnetting, OSPF Routing, VLANs and VPNs;
Recent roles in Technical or Team Leadership positions
Knowledge of cloud database management tools such as MySQL and Hadoop
Knowledge of cybersecurity in the context of the cloud
Comfortable working in an Agile Development environment.
Experience applying agile methodologies to the development of cybersecurity capabilities for embedded systems
Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and requirements development.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues
