As a Cloud Engineer, your role is to design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services. You will work closely with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of cloud platforms. Your responsibilities will include design, implementation, and partnering with Operations for ongoing maintenance of cloud-based solutions. This role is a hybrid position requiring in-office work. Duties:Work with cloud engineering staff, develop team members, and implement best practices and proceduresDesign, deploy via terraform, and manage scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on GCPDesign, deploy via terraform and manage Kubernetes clustersWork with developers, data scientists, and business leads to ensure that our GCP environment meets business requirementsOptimize GCP infrastructure for performance, cost, and securityManage IAM for cloud environmentsDevelop and implement automation tools and processes for cloud infrastructure management Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud platforms Monitor GCP infrastructure performance and implement improvements as neededParticipate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents as neededEnforce company and industry security standards ensuring SOX and PCI complianceWork within the framework of change control and trouble ticket systemResponsible for the cloud disaster recovery design and execution utilizing best practicesRequired Skills:3+ years of experience in deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on GCP using terraform10+ years of experience in IT engineering roles supporting a diverse range of technologiesAbility to multi-task and work independently in a distributed business environmentStrong knowledge of GKE, GCE, AutoML, VertexML, BigTable, BigQuery and Looker Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiencesMinimum Education and Desired Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical disciple or commensurate experience (10+ years) in IT Infrastructure rolesGCP certifications such as GCP Cloud Engineer and GCP Cloud ArchitectExperience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, version control, and testing using GitLab  Familiarity with OCI and Azure is a plusFamiliarity with using Datadog for cloud observability, monitoring and alerting
