How will you make an impact in this role?
Designs, develops and maintains technology systems for use by external and internal customers.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of critical IT platform
· Leveraging ITIL principles, manage incidents, problems, and changes, while proactively monitoring performance and coordinating equipment installations
· Optimizing service delivery through streamlined workflows and tools, ensuring that IT services effectively meet the evolving needs of colleagues
· Strong focus on data-driven decision making, continuous improvement, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation to ensure the highest levels of operational excellence
· Provide hands-on support for the runtime operation of our applications, ensuring high availability and performance
· Partner with appropriate supporting teams to ensure operational readiness throughout the application lifecycle.
· Lead the team to implement runtime operation best practices around observability and resiliency.
· Collaborate with software engineering and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve runtime issues, including performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and system failures
· Contribute to the design and implementation of monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to proactively identify and address potential runtime issues
· Participate in incident response and root cause analysis efforts to ensure the stability and resilience of the applications
· Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and provide input on runtime and operational considerations during the software development lifecycle
· Contribute to the development and maintenance of runtime automation and tooling to streamline operational processes and improve efficiency
· Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team
· Perform all aspects of software development for assigned applications, including developing prototypes, writing new code, and creating API’s

Minimum Qualifications
· Preferably a BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline
· 5+ years of software experience with proficiency in either Java or Python language
· Very Good Understanding of GCP services - Pub-Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, Spanner, Big Query, Big Table, Google Cloud Storage, Google Composer etc.
· Experience in software engineering, infrastructure operations, or a related field, with a focus on runtime operations and application support, preferred
· Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and containerization technologies, with experience in supporting critical business applications being a plus
· Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, as well as incident management best practices, to ensure the reliability and performance of applications in a production environment
· Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment and platforms, especially GIT, Maven and Jenkins
· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on understanding and addressing runtime issues in a timely manner
· Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
· Monitor system performance and proactively optimize data pipelines for efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve issues
