Job Description: Azure Architect Job Description: Cloud Architect - AWS and Azure Position Overview: We are seeking an accomplished Cloud Architect with expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms to join our team. This role will focus on delivering exceptional cloud architecture solutions for a large state client in the Harrisburg, PA area. The ideal candidate will possess Cloud certifications, hands-on experience in transforming clients to IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions, and a strong understanding of NIST 800-53 and the Cybersecurity framework. Responsibilities: + Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud architecture solutions primarily using AWS and Azure. + Collaborate closely with state client stakeholders to understand technical requirements, business objectives, and security compliance needs. + Develop comprehensive cloud architecture strategies that encompass Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. + Drive the transformation of state clients' systems and applications to cloud environments while ensuring alignment with NIST 800-53 and the Cybersecurity framework. + Utilize your cloud certifications and hands-on experience to architect scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions. + Conduct thorough assessments of existing systems and applications, identifying opportunities for cloud migration and optimization. + Design security measures and controls to ensure data protection and compliance with state security standards. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, engineering, and compliance, to ensure seamless cloud implementation and adherence to best practices. + Provide expert guidance to internal and client teams on cloud architecture decisions, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. + Develop cloud architecture documentation, including diagrams, guidelines, and best practices for reference and knowledge sharing. + Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, security threats, and federal regulations to continuously improve cloud strategies. + Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud architecture, representing the organization in client discussions, industry events, and knowledge-sharing forums. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. + Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are required. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with hands-on experience in AWS and Azure. + Proven experience working with state clients in the Harrisburg, PA area, demonstrating a strong understanding of their cloud needs and compliance requirements. + Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, and containerization. + Extensive experience in architecting, designing, and implementing AWS-based solutions that conform to NIST 800-53 and the Cybersecurity framework. + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. + Proficiency in cloud security best practices, encryption, access controls, and identity management. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing cloud-related challenges. + Location: + This position is based in the Harrisburg, PA area with occasional travel to client sites within the region.
