Cloud Analyst (Secret) (4495)

SMX is seeking Cloud Analysts (Junior/Mid/Senior) supporting the design and implementation of secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure and services in support of enterprise analytics and mission-critical systems for the United States Air Force. In this role, you will translate business or client requirements into secure, cloud-native architecture solutions, guide DevOps automation, and ensure interoperability across a diverse technology stack. You will collaborate with customers, evaluate cloud platforms, and provide subject matter expertise in systems integration, automation, and long-term modernization strategies. Must be familiar with design and implementation, virtualization, operating systems, storage, networking, security, and have technical cloud expertise. Services performed include, but are not limited to, applying management analysis processes, statistical methods, and advanced technical and analytical research techniques to determine cloud solutions based on client cloud migration and deployment requirements. Analyze operational activities to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making and resource allocation. Employs process improvements and reengineering methodologies and principles for modernization of cloud-based systems and projects. Provides integral support in mission requirements determination, conceptualization, design, development, testing, verification and validation, documentation, and implementation of system applications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in designing, architecting, and optimizing secure cloud solutions in AWS, Azure, Google, and/or Oracle environments Understand cloud-native architectures that support data integration, analytics, and automation requirements Lead and/or support cloud migration strategies and efforts Provide support for cloud-based networks/computers/servers/appliances or other devices Perform data network emulation/virtualization, analysis, and planning for cloud-based solutions Analyze systems and associated network and computer security measures implementation in accordance with the Cloud Service Offering levels and Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Support the design and implementation of on-premises to cloud migration strategies Has demonstrated knowledge of AWS GovCloud IL2 thru IL6 environments (Azure, Google, and Oracle experience also accepted) Support infrastructure security design, patching, and compliance documentation to support governance and ATO processes Ensure cloud infrastructure aligns with organizational policies, cost controls, and technical roadmaps

Required Skills & Experience 

Must have High School diploma and minimum 1 year experience for junior-level. Must have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification plus 3 years' experience for mid-level. Must have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification plus 6 years' experience for senior-level. Must have Master’s degree or equivalent certification plus 10 years for SME-level. Active Security Clearance Required: Secret Understand cloud architectures, including native services for compute, storage, networking, security, and automation Demonstrated ability to lead and/or support enterprise-scale system integrations and automation projects Experience establishing and/or managing environments across multiple enclaves and security domains Able to interact with clients, peers, management, and senior technical leads in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace Familiarity with cloud governance tools (e.g., Xacta, eMASS) and experience supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) processes Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation, infrastructure diagrams, and cloud migration strategies Understanding of C4I systems Knowledge of Windows operating environments

The proposed salary for this position is:$103,200—$172,000 USD
