Structural CAE analysis specific to Automotive Closures and sheet metal, including NVH, Fatigue and non-linear Impact analyses. Knowledge of Closures interface components like seals, bumpers and wedges, as well as closures related hardware like hinges, latches and handles preferred. Work experience to develop and validate design countermeasures related to Closures, including systems engineering to solve complex Closures system level issues is desired. FMEA skills and experience necessary for Regulatory requirements and WCRs is a bonus.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes related to design constraints would be very helpful to have. An ability to travel on company business as required
You'll have...
Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree required. or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.3-5 years of experience in Closures-related CAE (preferred) or Structural CAE, with NVH, Durability and/or Fatigue CAE Analysis experience in Automotive or Aerospace industry.Knowledge of both Linear Static and Non-Linear Dynamic analyses, including impact FE analyses.Experience in meshing & postprocessing software like ANSA, HyperMesh, HyperView and MetaPost.Experience in CAE analysis Software including Abaqus, Nastran, LS-Dyna, FDYNAM or nCode, Optistruct, Hyperworks etc.Build and setup FE models, perform CAE iterative analyses to identify and resolve issues within design and time constraints.Verify accuracy and completion of CAE assessments and provide milestone Engineering Status ReportsUtilize CAE DOE & Optimization Studies to identify design alternatives
