Position Purpose
The Supply Chain Specialist Advanced secures and maintains both inventory and special-order requisition for all Perioperative and Procedural Area departments. This position is responsible for all entry into our ERP systems as well as supports the effort of product conversions in order to achieve cost saving opportunities in a timely manner. Also responsible to maintain system administration for the inventory and billing entry into our ERP system to ensure adequate charge capture in the electronic medical record (Epic).
What you will do
Establish and maintain adequate supply inventory according to par levels and current usage
Act as a liaison between the clinicians, Supply Chain activities and supplier relations
Monitor and review forecasting reports to determine any potential stock-outs and shortages and collaborates with OR teams on a suitable replacement
Create requisitions, track and expedite all non-inventory item requests for procedures
Support product conversions and act as the liaison with the suppliers and the OR staff members
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent; Associates degree/Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent years of experience
Five (5) years’ experience in a procedural area
Polished, professional communication and presentation skills, oral and written
Working knowledge and expertise in Excel or equivalent spreadsheet application
Experience in an ERP systems, preferably PeopleSoft
