The Emergency Department (ED) provides a medical screening exam and emergency medical care to all persons who present with a request for examination or treatment of a medical and/or psychiatric condition 24/7/365. The ED encompasses 69 rooms, 2 behavioral seclusion rooms, 8 results waiting recliners, 3 trauma bays and 3 triage rooms. There are an additional 8 rooms (including 2 quiet rooms) that comprise the dedicated Emergency Behavioral Health Suite.
Full-Time - 0.9 FTE/72 Hours Biweekly
Every 3rd Weekend; 1 Major, 1 Minor and 1 Split Holiday

Provides daily clinical support on assigned units ensuring the successful delivery of quality patient care to patients. Collaborates with nursing leadership, and providers on patient placement. Provides direct patient care as an experienced practitioner level, performs duties of charge nurse, preceptor, monitoring, and evaluating nursing personnel during orientation to hospital or unit; assists in planning, evaluating, and revising staff development orientation plans.

Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s).Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.Assists in training/orienting personnel, provides feedback during orientation process and makes recommendations for education plan adjustments.Participates in patient and staff rounding, uses information to improve the patient experience and staff satisfaction.Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards.Adheres to the mission, vision, values, and Employee Code of Conduct as established by WellSpan Health. Work Experience:
